Comfort Meets Sustainability

Merino wool is a renewable resource, making it one of the most sustainable fabrics available. With access to grass and water, their fleece naturally regenerates each year, providing a continuous and sustainable source.

Feel good about dressing your family in Simply Merino

Temperature Regulating

Merino wool naturally insulates in the cold by trapping air and keeps you cool in the heat by absorbing and releasing moisture.

Incredibly Soft

Merino wool is soft because its ultra-fine fibers—typically 18–24 microns—are smoother and gentler against the skin than regular wool.

Machine Washable

Merino wool’s naturally crimped fibers and smooth surface help it retain shape and resist shrinking, especially when washed gently with cool water and a wool-safe detergent.

Wicks Away Moisture

Merino wool keeps you dry by wicking moisture away from your skin and absorbing it into the fibers without feeling wet.

Hypoallergenic

Merino wool naturally wicks moisture and resists bacteria and dust mites, helping reduce allergen buildup.

Naturally Fire Resistant

Merino wool is naturally fire-resistant, thanks to its keratin-rich fibers and moisture content, which cause it to smolder rather than ignite.

Durable

Merino wool is durable because its fine, strong fibers are naturally elastic, allowing them to bend without breaking.

Biodegradable

Merino wool is fully biodegradable—cut it into small pieces and compost in soil, where it naturally breaks down within 12 months and enriches the earth.

Waffle tank

I love this tank top. It is thick enough to last yet not too hot. I have ordered from other merino wool companies but I am impressed with the product from this Canadian company. It is superior for sure on its quality and price. I am so glad I found them!

Cozy and well fitting

Longtime icebreaker fan, but have been disappointed with the quality of their fabrics the past few years. Bought the waffle tank along with a pair of Simply Merino undies recently.
Have been super pleased with the quality of the fabric, fit and construction. Living out of a suitcase the past few months. Merino fabric lives up to its durability and stink free attributes. Will be purchasing more items from Simply Merino in the future.

Best Tank!

I love these tank tops. Since I got them, I’m not interested in wearing anything else. They are my go to all winter long and I imagine I’ll be wearing them in the summer too! They are the perfect weight (soft and light), great fit (love the high neck) and the perfect waffle texture (big waffle that creates softness). I love the cut as well! I have two colours so far and will continue to add to my collection if more colours are added.

Waffle Tank

I was slow to order a waffle shirt and tank and I am not sure why! They are so comfortable, breathable, and look great! I wear them alone or under a shirt in cooler weather. Super easy to wash and hang dry quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I store my wool?

If you are not wearing your wool regularly, we recommend storing it in a cedar chest or in a sealed Ziploc bag.

How should I wash my wool?

Always wash your wool on a delicate cycle with a gentle detergent. Never use bleach.

How do I know what size to order?

Each product page contains a Size Chart to help you select the correct size based on body measurements. If you need any additional sizing information, please reach out to our customer service team. We know that online shopping can sometimes be frustrating, and we are always here to help!

Do moths really eat wool?

Moth and other bugs do like to nibble on most natural fibers, wool included. If you suspect you have moths, we recommend washing your wool, air dry, then freeze to kill any eggs that may be present. Storing your wool properly will prevent damage from bugs.

When will an out-of-stock item be available?

Our Fall/Winter collection gets fully restocked in September, while our Spring/Summer collection restocks in April. Small restocks are done throughout the year. Restock notifications are available through our website by selecting the size and colour you are interested in and then providing your email address.
